I am a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology, affiliated with the School of Interactive Computing. I am a Graduate Student Researcher in the GT Visualization Lab, advised by Cindy Xiong Bearfield.
My research centers on human-AI interaction and AI interface design, with a particular interest in how information visualization choices shape people's cognition, perception, and trust when they interact with AI systems.
Before joining Georgia Tech, I worked at Hyundai Motor Group as a Data Scientist and Research Engineer, focusing on large-scale user behavior analysis, metrics and dashboard development, machine learning, and personalized in-vehicle interfaces. I hold an M.S. in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience from Korea University.
I began my Ph.D. in Computer Science at Georgia Tech and joined the GT Visualization Lab, advised by Cindy Xiong Bearfield.
I concluded my role at Hyundai Motor Group after working as a Research Engineer and Data Scientist from 2023 to 2026.
I accepted an offer of admission to the Ph.D. program at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech).
Our paper on developing machine-learning models for personalized in-vehicle infotainment recommendation systems was published in the ACM AutomotiveUI 2024 Adjunct Proceedings.
Presented our research on personalized in-vehicle infotainment recommendation system at ACM AutomotiveUI 2024 in Stanford, California.
Our article on how automotive head-up display complexity modulates attentional tunneling was published in Human Factors.
Our computational simulation analysis of value-driven attention and associative learning models was published in Psychonomic Bulletin & Review.
I earned my M.S. in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience from Korea University and joined Hyundai Motor Group as a Research Engineer.
Our article on exploration for reward information and value-driven attentional capture was published in the Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory, and Cognition.
Presented research on reward predictiveness and uncertainty at the 63rd Annual Meeting of the Psychonomic Society in Boston.
